Terms of Service & Rental Agreement

By renting equipment from rentalshammond.com, the "Renter" agrees to the following legally binding terms. These policies ensure our professional-grade equipment remains pristine for every customer in the Hammond area.

1. Identification & Eligibility

• Age Requirement: Renters must be 18 years of age or older.

• Verification: A valid government-issued photo ID is required at pickup. rentalshammond.com reserves the right to retain a digital copy of the ID for the duration of the rental; this is purged once the equipment is returned and the contract is closed.

2. Refundable Deposits ($70 Total)

To ensure our equipment is respected and returned clean, rentalshammond.com collects two separate deposits at the time of rental. These are returned via your original payment method (Venmo/CashApp) immediately following a successful inspection.

• Security Deposit ($50): Covers minor damage, missing parts (upholstery tools, hose kits), or late returns.

• Cleaning Deposit ($20): Our "Hygiene Guarantee." This is refunded only if the machine is returned "Rent-Ready" (see Section 3).

3. The "Rent-Ready" Standard

rentalshammond.com takes hygiene seriously. The $20 Cleaning Deposit will be forfeited if the machine is returned with:

• Dirty Tanks: Both Clean and Dirty water tanks must be emptied and rinsed.

• Clogged Brush Roll: Pet hair, carpet fibers, or string must be cleared from the brush rollers.

• Exterior Grime: The machine must be wiped down and free of mud, dust, or spills.

4. Prohibited Substances & Equipment Damage

The Renter is responsible for the full replacement cost of the machine ($650) if it is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair.

• Approved Chemicals Only: You may only use approved carpet cleaning formulas. Use of bleach, vinegar, laundry detergent, or dish soap is strictly prohibited. These substances destroy internal pumps and seals and will result in the immediate forfeiture of your $50 Security Deposit.

• Operation: Carpet extractors must never be used to vacuum dry debris.

5. Liability Waiver & Property Damage

• Property: rentalshammond.com is not responsible for damage to flooring, carpets, upholstery, or rugs. Renter agrees to test an inconspicuous area for colorfastness before full use.

• Injury: Renter assumes all risk of injury (including electrical shock or physical strain) during transport and use. Renter holds rentalshammond.com harmless for any personal injury sustained during the rental period.

6. Late Returns

A $20 per day late fee will be deducted from the Security Deposit for any equipment not returned by the agreed-upon time.
